DIY 4-Step Rocket Launcher
With just a few supplies, your child can launch a paper rocket at home! This straw rocket activity is super fun for your aspiring astronauts, and only takes a few minutes to make.
Things needed to make the rocket launcher :
- Colorful 8.5”x11” paper
- Glue
- Scissors
- Bendy Straws
Making the launch tube for the rocket
1. Cut a piece of a rectangle so that the length wraps around the straw. It doesn't have to be exact, just eyeball it and cut the paper.
2. Wrap the paper around your finger and tape it so you have a tube and then fold the end of the tube and paste, so you have a closed (launch tube).

STEP 1
Cut out different shapes shown in the picture.
STEP 2
Let your child glue them together to make the paper rocket
STEP 3
Let your child stick the launch tube at the back of the rocket.
STEP 4
Place the rocket in a bendy straw and ask your child to blow air through the straw!
