Earth Day Activities for Preschoolers

Earth Day Activities for Preschoolers

It’s never too early to introduce planet-saving habits to your little one, as well as a deep appreciation for nature and the outdoors. Earth Day is celebrated on April 22nd each year to highlight the importance of environmental education and conservation to protect our planet’s natural resources.

With the right guiding hand, children have the power to make a meaningful difference for our planet. To celebrate Earth Day, we created some fun printables, to practice skills, learn new vocabulary, and of course have fun.

Enjoy our Earth Day printables and have fun with crafts, coloring sheets, a scavenger hunt, and more!

    1. Earth Day coloring sheets - This fun coloring printable is designed to improve motor functions and help increase the observational skills. Help your child name and the colors and objects.
    2. Earth Day craft - This silly Earth Day craft uses your child’s cutting and gluing skills as they cut out the pieces and then glue them back together to make their own personal planet earth.
    3. Earth Day scavenger hunt - Head outside on a scavenger hunt and see how many items you can check off the list
    4. Earth Day Tracing - Help your child learn the three R’s of conservation – reduce, reuse, and recycle. This activity will challenge their fine-motor skills and introduce important earth-friendly vocabulary!
