I was genuinely terrified of having sand in the house, but the mess-control tray is brilliant. It catches every stray grain, and my 6-year-old son easily funneled the extra sand back into the rainbow pen. He spent hours creating vibrant lions and elephants.
My 7-year-old loved bringing the seahorses and monkeys to life. The process of peeling and dabbing is highly satisfying. My only small complaint is that she ran out of the primary green and orange sand colors way before she finished all 50 stickers. Still a great purchase.
The animal stickers look incredibly striking when completed, but the tiny peel-off sections were way too difficult for my 4-year-old's little hands to lift without tearing the neighboring parts. I had to sit there and peel every single section for her. Best reserved for slightly older children.
Absolute winner in our household. My 8-year-old daughter was completely locked in for over two hours straight. The fine sand is very premium and adheres tightly once pressed down with the little sponge. Will be stocking up on these for upcoming birthday gifts.
We've tried cheap sand art kits before where the sand just flakes off immediately. This one is top-notch quality. The adhesive holds the sand beautifully, and the final animal scenes look sharp enough to display on the fridge. The rainbow pen makes targeting small areas super easy.
My twins loved making the different safari animals. The tray works wonderfully to keep things clean. We noticed that if the sand gets even a tiny bit of humidity from warm hands, it can clump up inside the narrow tip of the rainbow pen. We cleared it out with a toothpick and it was fine.
I love that instead of just filling static plastic bottles, the kids are making actual stickers they can place onto their school notebooks and project boards. The safari scenes are beautiful and highly detailed. Highly recommend!
The box comes packed with over 50 stickers which is wonderful, but there are only 4 large picture boards to arrange them on. My kids filled up the scenes very quickly and wanted more backgrounds to build more animal habitats. The sand quality itself is fantastic though.
The activity is highly engaging and genuinely less messy than expected. However, the quantity of sand provided doesn't quite match the massive amount of stickers in the box. We completely ran out of sand while we still had about 15 stickers left to color. Wish there were larger bottles.

The overall kit is nice and the mess control is smart. However, a lot of the animal stickers are very tiny, making it difficult to create distinct multi-colored patterns without the sand bleeding together. It works fine if you just use one color per animal, but losing the detail is a bummer.

You get a ton of supplies in this kit for the price point. The 7 sand colors are incredibly bright and the choice of animals like monkeys, elephants, and marine life kept my kids highly entertained over several days.
The sand art process itself is a 5-star experience, but the little dab sponge included started tearing apart by the time we reached the third picture board. We had to use our own makeup sponge to finish pressing down the sand securely so it wouldn't shed.
I usually ban sand toys from the house completely, but the funnel-style tray on this completely changed the game. It funnels every bit of excess right back into the container. Zero grains left on my dining table.
